How to get to NCMG

The Centre is located at the rear of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

By Car:

Patients and visitors to the Genetics Clinic should use the patient car park at the front of the Hospital (entrance on Cooley Road) and follow the instructions listed in the Finding us on arrival section below.

Visitors to the Genetics Laboratories should use Hospital Entrance 5 on Errigal Gardens. Go around the back of the Children’s Research Centre and the entrance to the Laboratories is on your left. Please be aware that parking space is very restricted and that fire access clearways are rigorously enforced. Patients are not permitted to access the Genetics Clinic via the laboratory entrance.

By Luas:

Nearest Luas stop is Drimnagh (Red Line), about a 12-minute walk up Sperrin Road to the Hospital, or connect here to the 123 bus.

By Bus:

The following Dublin Bus services stop outside the hospital:

  • The 77 from Dublin city centre to Tallaght.
  • The 77A from Dublin city centre to Tallaght.
  • The 56A from Dublin city centre to Tallaght.
  • The 123 from Marino to Our Lady’s Hospital.
  • The 122 from Dublin city centre to Our Lady’s Hospital.
  • The 150 from Dublin city centre to Walkinstown.
  • The 210 from Clondalkin to Dolphin’s Barn.
  • The 50 from Eden Quay to Citywest.
  • The 18 from Sandymount to Palmerstown.

Additionally, there is also a private service to Lucan/ParkWest run by Dualway Coaches.

Finding us on arrival

The National Centre for Medical Genetics is at the opposite end of the Hospital from the main entrance. Ask at reception for directions, or follow the silver line on the wall.
